Sandbridge Beach Wedding | Abigail + Greg

Abigail and Greg’s Sandbridge Beach wedding was made even more special by the appearance of their adorable pup at portrait time!

The couple loves the water. Abigail had always dreamed of a beach wedding and since a lot of their family and friends live in Virginia, a Virginia Beach wedding was the perfect solution! The couple found the perfect Virginia Beach wedding venue in a beautiful oceanfront home in Sandbridge! The beachy blues of the home mirrored the sea and sky outdoors. Abigail’s vision really came to life, and I love how beautiful her color palette of greys and blues turned out. Their Sandbridge wedding was sheer coastal elegance!

How they met

Greg and Abigail met after graduate school while at their first jobs as physical therapists! Abigail moved directly to Virginia after graduating from physical therapy school in Iowa, and she was relatively new to Virginia when she met Greg. Not being familiar with Central Virginia or having many friends in the area, Abigail's trusty native Virginia colleague, Greg, offered to show her around. Day after day they spent more time with each other and recognized they were meant to be together forever... and that's when their story began!

How he asked

The couple recently bought a house together and were supposed to meet there after work to get their keys. As Abigail was about to open the door, it swung open and Greg dropped to one knee on the doorstep!

Their Sandbridge Beach Wedding

Abigail and Greg couldn’t have had a more perfect day for their Sandbridge wedding. It was sunny, but a light breeze kept the day at a perfect temperature. The bride and bridesmaids all got ready on the third floor and could see some of the groomsmen playing in the surf until it was time for them to get dressed! Meanwhile, Abigail’s family pitched in downstairs to make sure all the details were just right.

The couple shared a touching first look on the balcony, and then their sweet pup, Theo, showed up to join them for a few portraits on the beach before they were joined by the wedding party for more pictures.

Everyone was so joyful all day, and it was such a pleasure and an honor to be there to document this next chapter in Abigail and Greg’s love story!
