Richmond Engagement Session | Virginia Wedding Photographers

Cameron and Kyle had a beautiful evening for their Richmond engagement photos in The Fan and Libby Hill Park.

The Fan and Libby Hill Park are two iconic locations for Richmond engagement sessions. We started this session by walking the cobblestone streets of The Fan district in Richmond. Wandering around this neighborhood is always so fun, and it makes for the perfect setting for photos. Victorian homes line 85 blocks in this beautiful area, which was developed along the tracks of a trolley line constructed in the late 19th century.

We eventually made our way over to Libby Hill Park, which has some of the best views and is one of three original parks in Richmond. This hilltop location overlooks the James River and has seven acres of lovely views of the city. Roaming paths connect the earthy upper segment of the park to a lower terrace that features stone benches and an ornamental fountain. We were delighted that Cameron and Kyle's session ended during the sunset from this location because it is absolutely magical to see it from here.

Cameron and Kyle met during their undergrad years at the University of Virginia while majoring in civil engineering. They had been dating for about four years when Kyle surprised Cameron with a proposal during a trip to Pendry Hotel along the Baltimore Harbor.

As they walked along the harbor, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!
