Boathouse Wedding at Sunday Park - Victoria + Pete
Victoria and Pete had a funny beginning to their relationship. They both thought they messed up their first date for different reasons. They went to dinner and a movie and Victoria fidgeted nervously. As they walked out, Pete placed his hand on her lower back, and Victoria said, "as silly as it sounds, my heart fluttered." Shivering by her car at the end of the night, Victoria asked Pete "if he was a crazy guy who was going to kidnap me." The look on Pete's face was priceless as he answered, 'no.' Victoria invited Pete into her car because she was freezing, and the two talked for the next two hours straight. Pete wasted no time calling Victoria for a second date and called while she was driving home.
I loved seeing these two interact during their engagement session at VMFA and at their wedding at The Boathouse at Sunday Park. They are so joyful together! Pete has a special way of making Victoria laugh that is so fun to watch.
Weather played another important role in their love story on their wedding day. The morning was blustery and cloudy, but moments before Victoria walked down the aisle, the wind stopped, the clouds cleared and the sun shone down. Their wedding in the gazebo by the water was beautiful!
Here are a few of my favorite images from their special day.
